We have been in business for over 30 years. Our studio provides dance instruction in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and acro. We have both recreational and competitive tracks. Our studio believes in developing our dancers with a strong technical foundation. Safety and kindness are paramount.

Role Description

This is a contract role for an Acro Dance Instructor at Extensions School of Dance. The role is on-site and located in Rhode Island, United States. The Acro Dance Instructor will be responsible for teaching acro dance classes, developing and delivering dance education, choreographing routines, and preparing students for performances. The instructor will also need to provide a safe and supportive environment for all students, ensure proper technique and warm-up exercises, and manage classroom behavior.

Qualifications

• Dance Instruction and Teaching experience
• Dance Education and Dance knowledge
• Understanding of Music as it pertains to dance routines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
