Job summary

Houlihan Lokey in New York is seeking a Corporate Development Intern to support and gain exposure to acquisitions, pipeline analysis, and presentations for senior management.

You will assist with target searches, build databases, and help track performance post-acquisition, working closely with the CEO and CFO teams. This internship offers hands-on exposure to M&A concepts and strategic initiatives in a global firm.

Qualifications

• Must be a junior or senior in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Previous professional internship experience is preferred.
• A desire to pursue a career in investment banking or finance is preferred.
• Basic understanding of financial modeling and accounting principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior management.
• Proficient with Excel; PowerPoint and Word knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Corporate Development team on acquisition-related activities and other projects.
• Support origination efforts: develop acquisition target searches and profiles; evaluate industry participants for HL’s pipeline; track pipeline activities and CRM data (Salesforce/Pitchbook).
• Aid post-acquisition performance tracking by analyzing precedent transactions and creating reports for management.
