Job summary

Chevo in Washington, DC is seeking a qualified professional to lead Federal Acquisitions support for multiple contracts. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, shaping project deliverables, and aligning them with contract requirements.

The role requires a strong background in federal procurements, a degree in a relevant field, and at least five years of experience; FAC-C or similar certification and DHS experience are highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience in a technical or business field.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting Federal Acquisitions (Procurements).

Responsibilities

  • Managing clients and day-to-day client interaction.
  • Building a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives.
  • Setting and managing client expectations.
  • Communicating effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Continually seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Achieving operational objectives and contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Implementing productivity and quality standards.
  • Providing technical direction and guidance to contractor staff to ensure contract requirements and expectations are clear, success criteria are defined, progress toward results are monitored, and that all activities are performed in compliance with the terms of the contract.
  • Identifying risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Meeting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Managing a multi-tiered project and/or multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Education, Management Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources Development/ Management, or other related discipline

Required Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting DHS (Headquarters or Component Agencies)

SALARY RANGE: $140K - $160K (subject to change)ELIGIBLE FOR PERFORMANCE BASE BONUS
