Job summary

Chevo is seeking an experienced Acquisitions Program Manager to join our team in the Washington, DC area. This role involves significant client interaction and acting as a trusted advisor on Federal Acquisitions (Procurement) support contracts.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding client needs, managing expectations, and leading projects with a focus on contract requirements, performance, and risk mitigation. DHS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ total years of experience.
  • 5+ years of program management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Federal Acquisitions projects (Procurements).
  • FAC-C or similar Federal Acquisitions Certification (desired).
  • Previous DHS experience (headquarters or component agencies) (desired).

Responsibilities

  • Managing clients and day-to-day client interaction.
  • Building a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives.
  • Setting and managing client expectations and communications.
  • Identifying needs and evaluating alternative business solutions with clients.
  • Forecasting requirements, budgets, expenditures, variances, and corrective actions.
  • Managing multi-tiered projects and multiple projects simultaneously.

Chevo is hiring an experienced Acquisitions Program Manager to join our expanding firm in the Washington, DC area. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business better than they know it and to become a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to a managing a Federal Acquisitions (Procurement) support contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing clients
  • Building a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives
  • Managing day-to-day client interaction
  • Setting and managing client expectations
  • Communicating effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Continually seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Achieving operational objectives and contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Implementing productivity and quality standards.
  • Providing technical direction and guidance to contractor staff to ensure Contract requirements and expectations are clear, success criteria are defined, progress toward results are monitored, and that all activities are performed in compliance with the terms of the Contract
  • Identifying risks and appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Meeting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Managing a multi-tiered project and/or multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Education, Management Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources Development/ Management, or other related discipline or equivalent experience in a technical or business discipline.
  • 10+ total years' experience
  • 5+ years program management experience
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting Federal Acquisitions projects(Procurements)

Desired Qualifications:

  • FAC-C or similar Federal Acquisitions Certification
  • Previous experience supporting DHS (Headquarters or Component Agencies)

SALARY RANGE: $140K - $160K (subject to change)
