Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Hunt Library seeks an Acquisitions Librarian to lead the procurement of print and electronic resources. You will oversee workflows, vendor relations, and budget alignment across Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide campuses.

The role reports to the Senior Associate Director for Collection Strategy & Technical Services, supervising one staff member and collaborating with multiple units to ensure timely access to library materials.

Qualifications

• Academic library experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in library acquisitions, collection development, ordering and invoicing, or related technical services.
• Experience with vendor relations and budgeting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate acquisition of print books, ebooks, journals, media and other library materials.
• Manage firm orders, approval plans, standing orders, and acquisitions workflows.
• Plan and improve workflows for ordering, receiving, invoicing and vendor management.
• Monitor acquisitions expenditures and assist with budget planning and collection development.
• Supervise the Acquisitions Technician and support staff development.
• Collaborate with Electronic Resources, Cataloging, Access Services and other units to align collection strategies.
• Develop reports and data analyses for collection assessment and annual reporting.
• Participate in library committees and professional development initiatives.
