Job summary

UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking an Acquisition Specialist, Journeyman (PMA 275) to support the V‑22 Osprey program. The role is anticipated to be on-site, with possible telework upon management approval, and incumbent PMA‑275 personnel are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include shaping program acquisition documentation, evaluating procedures for compliance with specs and contracts, and preparing briefs and reports for review boards and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent substitutions with relevant experience.
  • Three years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
  • Proficiency in the Acquisition Management System (AMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Overview

Acquistion Specialist, Journeyman (PMA 275):

Bowhead is excited to announce our return to PMA‑275, supporting the V‑22 Osprey through the newly awarded Program/Project Management Technical Support Services contract. We are rapidly expanding our team to help drive mission readiness, modernization, and disciplined program execution for one of naval aviation’s most versatile platforms. Incumbent PMA‑275 personnel are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position is anticipated to be on-site, however there may be opportunities for telework based on management approval.

Responsibilities
  • Supports the development of program acquisition documentation such as APs, ASR, PID, SOW, funding documents, CDRLs, and APBA.
  • Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.
  • Attends, participates, supports, analyzes, provides input, develops, prepares and reports on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards.
Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) degree. Allowable Substitutions: Associate’s Degree plus two (2) additional years of relevant experience, orFour (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must also have three (3+) years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
  • Must be proficient in the Acquisition Management System (AMS).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Set Rate $95,000-110,000

Bowhead considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
