Job summary

COLSA Corporation is seeking an Acquisition Logistician Journeyman to lead planning, execution, and management of a cost-effective, comprehensive logistics strategy across the full lifecycle. The role interfaces with Program Office and Staff levels to ensure readiness and supportability within cost, schedule, and performance constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) and 10 years of DoD experience, 3 of which must be in the DoD.
• High School Diploma and 15 years of directly related experience, five of which must be in the DoD.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing, updating, and reviewing critical documents for program office use that support acquisition and sustainment logistics.
• Support the program office through all milestones and phases from concept to Operations & Support.
• Apply the Air Force’s product support elements in alignment with the PSM Guidebook.
• Provide expert assistance with transportation plan development and the defense transportation system process.
• Assist in GFP/GFE purchasing to determine costs, budgets, and procurement.
• Identify and propose solutions to reduce weapon system total ownership costs.
• Integrate logistics functions into unified fielding and sustainment plans.
• Monitor milestone compliance and track action items across teams.
• Perform schedule and risk assessments and propose mitigations to leadership.
• Review engineering and logistics changes for impact on availability and budgets.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment across government and contractor teams.
