Job summary

Hive Group, LLC, is seeking multiple Senior Acquisition & Program Management Analysts to provide agency-wide advisory and programmatic support at Redstone Arsenal, AL. You will advise senior executives and drive high-visibility decisions across the acquisition lifecycle for major weapon systems and services.

The role requires an active Secret clearance and substantial DoD program management experience, including ASP/ASB briefings, risk management, and strategic workflow improvements to support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a closely related field.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Ten years of experience supporting DoD programs or comparable operations as an acquisition/program analyst.
  • Five years in DoD Program Management or five years in an integration environment with executive-level analysis and coordination.
  • Experience preparing acquisition strategy for ASP/ASB or equivalent.
  • Experience reviewing, processing, and formulating strategy products.

Responsibilities

  • Provide agency-wide and program-specific expert advice, analysis, and support to Acquisitions and Programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive programmatic and acquisition analysis across the lifecycle for major weapon systems and services.
  • Ensure acquisition strategies are prepared and optimized for formal review before ASP/ASB.
  • Direct core acquisition functions, including program baseline support and risk management.
  • Perform advanced analytical tasks to enable data-driven decisions for senior leadership.
  • Advise leadership on complex projects and ad-hoc analytical reports.
  • Conduct business process analysis to identify gaps and implement workflow improvements.
  • Serve as ASP secretariat and support ASB alongside agency boards.
  • Maintain master library of ASP/ASB briefings, decisions, and data with proper handling.
  • Author and present complex briefing materials for headquarters staff.
  • Provide high-level support for internal/external communications and coordination.
  • Support high-visibility engagements with external defense partners and other agencies.
  • Deliver weekly executive reports, manage meeting minutes, and prepare read-ahead packages.
  • Manage the official agency action tracker and ensure tasks are completed.
  • Oversee document tracking, deadlines suspenses, and internal reviews of acquisition documents.

We are seeking multiple accomplished, highly strategic Senior Acquisition & Program Management Analysts to provide agency-wide advisory and programmatic support at Redstone Arsenal, AL. This critical role serves as a trusted advisor to senior executives, driving high-visibility decisions across the complete acquisition lifecycle for major weapon systems and services.

The Senior Acquisition & Program Management Analyst plays a critical strategic role, delivering expert agency-wide and program-specific analysis across the entire lifecycle of major weapon systems and services. The successful candidate will direct core acquisition functions—including risk management, baseline support, and comprehensive planning—while ensuring all overarching strategies are optimized for formal review before Acquisition Strategy Panels (ASP) and Acquisition Strategy Boards (ASB).

The position demands an expert communicator capable of authoring complex executive briefings, managing high-visibility engagements with external defense industry partners, and driving agency action trackers to successful completion. This is an exceptional opportunity for a cleared, senior-level DoD acquisition professional to shape data-driven decision-making and implement strategic workflow improvements. This position requires personnel to have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.

Work Location: This position is performed on-site at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Regular on-site attendance is required to support customer and contract requirements. Telework may be available based on contract requirements and customer approval."

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide agency-wide and program-specific expert advice, analysis, and support to Acquisitions and Programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive programmatic and acquisition analysis across the entire lifecycle for both major weapon systems and services.
  • Ensure all overarching acquisition strategies are thoroughly prepared and optimized for formal review before Acquisition Strategy Panels (ASP) and Acquisition Strategy Boards (ASB).
  • Direct core acquisition functions, including program baseline support, acquisition risk management, and comprehensive acquisition planning.
  • Perform a wide range of advanced analytical and support tasks to enable data-driven decision-making for senior leadership regarding acquisition and contracting operations.
  • Advise leadership on, and execute, complex special projects and ad-hoc analytical reports as required.
  • Conduct business process analysis to identify gaps and implement strategic workflow improvements.
  • Serve as the official ASP secretariat and deliver critical support to the ASB alongside broader agency boards.
  • Maintain the definitive master library of all ASP and ASB briefings, formal decisions, and supporting data, ensuring strict handling of source-selection-sensitive information.
  • Author and present complex written, verbal, and visual briefing materials specifically tailored in support of headquarters staff.
  • Provide high-level support for senior leader internal and external communication forums, coordinate briefings, and oversee organization-wide initiatives.
  • Support and coordinate high-visibility engagements with external defense industry partners and other government agencies.
  • Deliver weekly reports for senior executives, manage meeting minutes, collect executive read-ahead packages, and lead pre-meeting preparations.
  • Manage and operate the official agency action tracker to ensure tasks are monitored and driven to completion.
  • Oversee document tracking, manage deadline suspenses, prepare status reports, and execute internal reviews of acquisition and contracting documents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a closely related field.
  • Must possess and maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience directly supporting DoD Program(s) or comparable commercial operations as an acquisition/program analyst overseeing cost, schedule, and performance.
  • This position requires, at a minimum, five (5) years experience in DoD Program Management, or five (5) years commercial experience in an integration environment providing strategic level analysis, communications and staff coordination for executive level review.
  • Previous experience preparing acquisition strategy for an Acquisition Strategy Panel and Acquisition Strategy Board or equivalent.
  • Previous experience reviewing, processing, and formulating strategy products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous DAWIA Certification Level III in Program Management or equivalent.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated compensation range for this position is between $186,989 - $206,672 annually. Actual salary for these positions will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s specialized skills, certifications, and years of experience.
