Job summary

The University of Oregon Acoustics Research Laboratory seeks an Acoustical Research Engineer to support testing, applied research, and daily lab operations in a nationally recognized facility. The role focuses on executing standardized methods and enabling new acoustic research in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with acoustics, vibration measurement, and data analysis, and will assist with instrument setup, testing, and documentation while supporting both

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Engineering, or Physics with acoustics coursework.
• 2 years of acoustical/vibration measurements in lab or controlled environments.
• 2 years familiarity with measurement instrumentation and signal processing basics.

Responsibilities

• Support acoustical testing and data collection in the lab and in field settings.
• Assist with calibration, operation, and maintenance of measurement systems.
• Contribute to data analysis, reporting, and research documentation.
