You will assist with calculations, modeling, data analysis, and site measurements while coordinating with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure acoustical performance across various building projects.

• Coordinates acoustical design requirements with project team members.

• Assists senior staff with advanced acoustical analyses and design activities.
• Supports preparation and review of technical reports, drawings, specifications and presentations.

The Acoustics Designer will launch their career as a Designer in the engineering group. This role prepares project deliverables that accord with standards and performs basic technical tasks.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Works with acoustical consultants, engineers, architects, and other technical staff to develop project deliverables, including design recommendations, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Applies fundamental acoustics, engineering, physics, and architectural concepts to building acoustics, mechanical system noise and vibration control, and environmental acoustics.
• Assists with acoustical calculations, modeling, data analysis, and development of project recommendations under the guidance of senior technical staff.
• Participates in field measurements and site observations related to sound, noise, vibration, room acoustics, and sound isolation.
• Assists with evaluating architectural assemblies and building systems for acoustical performance.
• Coordinates acoustical design requirements with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project team members.
• Uses appropriate technical software and analytical tools to support acoustical studies, calculations, modeling, documentation, and project deliverables.
• Assists senior technical staff with more advanced acoustical analyses, investigations, and design activities.
• Supports preparation and review of technical reports, drawings, specifications, presentations, and other client deliverables.
