Apple's Audio Instrumentation & Calibration team in Boulder, CO is seeking a design engineer to develop and deploy calibration and test equipment for manufacturing lines. You will collaborate with validation and audio engineering during the NPI phase to ensure success of current and future Apple products.

Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics or a similar field.
• 1+ years of professional experience.
• Deep familiarity with room acoustics and/or transducer design.
• Experience with acoustic and multi-physics simulation (Comsol/Ansys).
• Experience with CAD tools, preferably NX/UG.
• Experience programming in one or more of the following: C/C++/Python/Matlab.

Responsabilités

• Specification, development, and deployment of acoustic instrumentation systems.
• Acoustic and vibro‑acoustic simulations using FEA.
• Specify and acquire equipment, components, and tools for use in a NPI environment.
• Deploy and qualify these systems in‑situ.
• Analyze large amounts of calibration and performance data (Excel/Matlab/JMP).
• Estimated travel of up to 10% international travel.
