Job summary

ACORE is seeking a Policy Intern to help advance clean energy through education, collaboration, and supportive finance. ACORE is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that promotes investment in American clean energy infrastructure, development, and innovation.

The internship is paid at $19.00 per hour and can be conducted on a hybrid or remote basis. Interns report to the Director, Policy & Engagement and will gain hands-on experience in policy research, writing, and outreach.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
• Available 20 hours per week through the spring semester.
• Interest in clean energy.
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on a variety of topics, potentially including clean energy project finance, energy project permitting, and the impacts of electricity demand growth.
• Track and analyze legislation that affects clean energy investment and development.
• Assist with the drafting of reports, blog posts, fact sheets, and other documents, as necessary.
• Attend ACORE conferences and webinars as appropriate.

ACORE’s membership includes clean energy investors, developers, energy buyers, power generators, manufacturers, and energy providers.

The ideal candidate has strong skills in research and writing as well as a desire to impact positive change on clean energy policy. Interns will report to the Director, Policy & Engagement. This internship is paid at a rate of $19.00 per hour and can be conducted on a hybrid or remote basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on a variety of topics, potentially including clean energy project finance, energy project permitting, and the impacts of electricity demand growth.

• Track and analyze legislation that affects clean energy investment and development.

• Assist with the drafting of reports, blog posts, fact sheets, and other documents, as necessary.

• Attend ACORE conferences and webinars as appropriate.
