Job summary

Volkert Inc. seeks an experienced Precast Concrete Inspector (ACI) in Downingtown, PA to join our Mid-Atlantic Region. This full-time role requires at least a high school diploma and an ACI Field Testing Technician Grade 1 certification, with 1 year of inspection experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid ACI Field Testing Technician - Grade 1 certification.
• Minimum 1 year of precast concrete inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, specs and provisions.
• NETTCP/PCI certifications preferred; PennDOT certs desirable.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Work daily in a precast plant, office and outdoor environment.
• Inspect truck load tickets for aggregate and concrete.
• Document concrete casting construction work and test results.
• Perform field/precast materials testing.
• Inspect according to PennDOT standards and document observations.
• Write daily inspection reports and assist with record keeping.
