Job summary

State of Illinois, Governor's Office of Management and Budget (GOMB), seeks an ACFR Internal Control (IC) Unit Analyst 1 to support the ACFR IC Unit Director and Analysts in overseeing the financial audit of the State's ACFR.

Responsibilities include coordinating internal control processes, assisting with mappings, reviewing data, and providing guidance to state agencies. A Bachelor's degree is required; CPA/CIA/CISA preferred. Location: Springfield, IL; salary range $60,000–$75,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, economics, finance, business administration, public administration or related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA) highly preferred.
• Introductory knowledge of current practices on varying professional accounting and auditing standards and statements.

Responsibilities

• Participates in audit entrance/exit conferences as needed.
• Develops internal control templates and processes with agency management.
• Reviews/updates the Finding Database with audit distribution.
• Analyzes information from the Office of the Comptroller for ACFR mapping.
• Performs other duties within scope of ACFR IC Unit Analyst 1.
