Job summary

The Governor's Office of Management and Budget (GOMB) is seeking an ACFR IC Unit Analyst 1 to support the ACFR IC Unit Director and Analysts in implementing internal control components for the State of Illinois ACFR.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related fields; professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA) are preferred. Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 with comprehensive benefits and flexible work options.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skills, and professional development equivalent to completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, economics, finance, business administration, public administration or another degree with a significant relationship to the above tasks.
• A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is highly preferred.
• Requires introductory knowledge of current practices on varying professional accounting and auditing standards and statements.

Responsibilities

• Supports ACFR IC Unit Director and Analysts in implementing internal control components for the ACFR.
• Develops and evaluates internal control templates and processes with state agencies.
• Reviews and updates the ACFR IC Unit’s Finding Database and analyzes information from the Illinois Office of Comptroller.
