Job summary

Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP is seeking motivated summer interns for our ACFO practice in San Diego.

Interns work in small teams, attend client meetings, assist with transaction processing and month-end closes, and gain exposure to outsourced accounting and CFO advisory work for startups. The internship runs June 14 to August 6, 2027, with in-office expectations three days per week and occasional travel to the Bay Area for training and the Firm’s Annual Meeting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's and/or Master's program in business with an emphasis in accounting.
• Final graduation date with California CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Demonstrates clear, professional written and oral communication.
• Motivated to obtain CPA license.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.2 with "B" grades or above in accounting courses.
• At least one accounting course completed to be considered for an interview.
• On track to complete a minimum of three accounting courses prior to the internship program.

Responsibilities

• Attending client meetings and engagement planning meetings
• Assisting with transaction processing
• Assisting clients with the month-end close of their financial records
• Utilizing analytical and technical skills to complete ACFO workpapers
• Completing special projects
• Potentially seeing clients prepare for and evaluate potential rounds of funding and/or mergers and acquisitions
