Job summary

Hyatt Regency DFW Airport is seeking a Server for Ace's Lobby Bar. The role involves delivering attentive service, knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine and menu items, and creating memorable dining experiences for guests at the lobby bar and adjacent dining area.

Applicants should be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a friendly attitude and a passion for hospitality. The position supports a world-class hotel environment located near DFW Airport.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or serving experience preferred; hospitality or hotel experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain mobile for extended periods, including up to 8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide exceptional service throughout their dining experience.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders while making menu and beverage recommendations.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely, professional manner.
• Prepare itemized guest checks and process payments when required.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, beverage offerings, promotions, and special events.
• Accurately complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash-handling procedures through the POS system.
• Communicate guest requests, concerns, and special accommodations promptly to team members and leadership.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment by supporting fellow colleagues and assisting where needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining and bar areas in accordance with Hyatt standards.
• Report to work as scheduled, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to outstanding guest service.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As a Server at Ace's Lobby Bar, you'll create memorable dining experiences by providing attentive, personalized service in a welcoming and energetic environment. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about food and beverage offerings, including cocktails, beer, wine, and menu selections, and is passionate about exceeding guest expectations.

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, or a willingness to learn menu offerings, cocktails, beer, and wine selections.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail when taking orders, processing transactions, and providing guest service.
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain mobile for extended periods, including shifts up to 8 hours in length.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, wipe tables and seating areas, and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant and bar.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, and transport items weighing up to 20 pounds throughout the shift.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
