Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced ACE Investigator to support a large Federal agency initiative. The role focuses on fraud detection across healthcare, contracting, and grants, with regular collaboration with ACE attorneys and agency personnel.

You will use electronic databases and extensive document review to identify evidence, prepare investigative reports, and support subpoenas and witness examinations as needed. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

• Independent thinking and investigative strategy development.
• Strong professional communication across staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Generate new investigations and continue ongoing fraud investigations in areas like healthcare, contracting, and grants.
• Regularly meet with ACE attorneys and agency personnel to generate investigations.
• Provide ancillary investigations support for assigned fraud matters.
• Use public and government databases to locate documents, witnesses, and evidence.
• Prepare progress reports with findings, analyses, and recommendations.
• Examine ledgers, payrolls, invoices, and related records for accuracy and relevance.
• Perform data analyses on large datasets to develop investigative leads.
• Assist ACE AUSAs with witness interviews, depositions, and subpoenas as needed.
• Understand applicable laws to guide investigation direction and evidence handling.
