Accumulation Management Analyst (Senior or AVP Level)

Zurich North America is seeking an Accumulation Management Analyst (Senior or AVP Level) to deliver thought leadership and actionable insights to the business regarding natural and man-made catastrophes by using both internal and externally sourced Cat Modeling capabilities to assess catastrophe and accumulation risk.

Specific duties include :

Monitoring and maintaining accumulation, catastrophe and other exposures as part of Zurich’s balanced property portfolio;

Working with Business units by providing insights to optimize our accumulations, including those from catastrophes;

Assisting in catastrophe planning, monitoring and capacity allocation;

Hotspot reviews and Manual Data Calls and being key contact for Stack / Clash concerns;

Acting as the subject matter expert on developing framework of Next Generation Underwriting and Accumulation Systems / Tools;

Researching and understanding potential future impact on accumulations from changing global conditions;

Representing North America business with Group Accumulation Management, Group Reinsurance and other Global functions with respects to accumulation concerns and priorities

Modeling specific business segments utilizing approved vendor and internally developed software models

This role will be filled at either the Senior or AVP Accumulation Management Analyst. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Basic Qualifications Senior Level :

Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Underwriting areaOR

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Underwriting area

Basic Qualifications AVP Level :

Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Underwriting areaOR

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Underwriting area

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with using catastrophe models or their output

Strong knowledge in insurance financials and / or pricing

Ability to work with large amounts of data

CPCU

Strong knowledge of line / s of business and the legal and regulatory environment

Ability to multi-task

Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills

The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is 98,300.00 - $213,000.00. The proposed salary range for the Senior is $98,300.00 - $161,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%. The proposed salary range for the AVP is $130,000.00 - $213,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
