International SOS seeks qualified individuals to serve as Accredited Financial Counselors for The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP). The FFSP serves active duty members of the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, their families, foreign military personnel in the area, reserve members, wounded service members, retirees, and others as authorized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management (PFM) classes/workshops on topics like budgeting, credit, debt, insurance, savings, and retirement.
  • Respond to requests for youth and teen financial education seminars.
  • Conduct initial and refresher Command Financial Specialist training.
  • Assist in developing General Military Training (GMT) on financial topics.
  • Document all financial education and counseling services in required systems.
  • Provide individualized financial counseling to service members and families.
  • Help service members develop extended absence financial plans.
  • Create and distribute financial informational materials.
  • Develop new curriculum for basic PFM education as needed.
  • Assist with consumer information and handling complaints.
  • Ensure all services are properly recorded in systems.
  • Participate in emergency response exercises and execute assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with national certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor.
  • Ability to prepare and conduct management briefings.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently.

Work Experience

  • Experience providing personal and family financial management services.
  • Experience working with family programs, military or civilian social services, or military family members.
  • Strong communication, assessment, data management, and advocacy skills.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and local resources; sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of FFSMIS system is a plus; familiarity with Microsoft 365 preferred.
