The Accreditation Services Associate conducts accreditation surveys for residency and technician training programs for ASHP. Compensation considers skills, experience, and organizational needs. The salary range is $135,000–$155,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits plan. Click ASHP Benefits to learn more. This position is eligible for remote work, but candidates must reside in one of the following states to comply with tax laws: AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MS, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TX, VA, WI, WV.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Coordinate and conduct on-site and virtual survey processes, including pre-survey preparations with sites and survey teams.
  2. Write accreditation survey reports and confidential recommendations for the Commission on Credentialing and/or the Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission, ensuring consistent interpretation of standards.
  3. Provide recommendations for newsletters, website updates, and educational resources for program directors and preceptors.
  4. Develop materials, deliver presentations, conduct workshops, and support residency and technician training programs.
  5. Contribute to developing and maintaining accreditation products and services.
  6. Assist in planning residency conferences and other educational activities at ASHP meetings, collaborating with relevant commissions and committees.
  7. Participate in revising accreditation standards and regulations.
  8. Suggest improvements in accreditation procedures, processes, and cost controls.
  9. Attend and participate in meetings such as Lead Surveyor meetings, COC meetings, and ASHP's Midyear Clinical Meeting.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to ASHP
  • A degree and knowledge of pharmacy, business, or association management principles.
  • Licensed pharmacist.
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as a pharmacy residency preceptor, program director, or pharmacy technician trainer.
  • Experience as a practitioner surveyor, with at least 2 surveys in the past 12 months.
  • Achievement record in pharmacy practice preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
