Job description

Job Title: Accreditation Review Associate

The Accreditation Review Associate will assist facilities in becoming accredited with the designations of Chest Pain and Heart Failure Accreditation per the criteria defined by ACC Accreditation Services.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct on-site or video site reviews at facilities requesting accreditation services offered by the ACC, ensuring compliance with accreditation criteria. Engage in interactive dialogue with healthcare organizations to assess gaps and areas for improvement.
  2. Serve as an advisor to facilities to help them understand accreditation requirements and review submitted materials for completeness and compliance with the accreditation standards.
  3. Participate in presentations and trade shows to educate the public and professionals about the benefits of accreditation.
  4. Coordinate with facilities to schedule site reviews and gather additional documentation as needed.
  5. Prepare summary reports for the Accreditation Review Committee and facilities, detailing findings, decisions, and improvement opportunities.
  6. Support research projects, committee development, and review criteria development as assigned.
  7. Collaborate with team members to uphold the mission and vision of ACC Accreditation Services.
  8. Attend mandatory training sessions throughout the year.
  9. Manage organizational funds responsibly, maintaining confidentiality of all information.
Required Qualifications:
  • Healthcare professional with experience in emergency care, nursing, research, or cardiovascular-related fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree and active licensure in the relevant area.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional integrity.
  • Basic knowledge of accreditation standards and performance improvement activities.
  • Intermediate computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, email).
  • Critical thinking skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • High-speed internet connection for online meetings.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%, including work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel by aircraft, lift/carry up to 75 pounds, and drive a car.
  • Ability to work in settings with potential infectious disease exposure.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Five years of healthcare experience in acute care.
  • Background in process improvement.
  • CPHQ certification.
