Job summary

The State of Missouri's Missouri Department of Mental Health seeks a full-time onsite Supervisor for the Sikeston Business office, overseeing accounting activities and supporting the Poplar Bluff office as needed. Primary duties include consumer benefits, accounts receivable/payable, fleet management, purchasing, and variance reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of related experience (or valid certifications).

• Manage individual benefits and financial accounts for campus program participants, including Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and other benefits.
• Participate in internal and external audit requests.

Job description

Job Location: This full-time position will be located at 112 Plaza Drive, Sikeston, MO. 63801. Regular work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday off. Occasional travel to Poplar Bluff, MO may be required.

• Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of experience and/or appropriate certifications. (Substitutions may be allowed.
• Serve as onsite supervisor for the Sikeston Business office, while providing support to the Poplar Bluff Business office as needed
• Maintain a clear understanding of general accounting practices and Department of Mental Health (DMH) policies and procedures.
• Provide accounting oversight for the Individualized Supported Living (ISL) program, including but not limited to consumer benefits, accounts receivable and payable, fleet management, purchasing, and variance reporting.
• Complete purchasing activities for campus programs, covering both general revenue and consumer funds.
• Manage individual benefits and financial accounts for campus program participants, including Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and other miscellaneous benefits.
• Participate in internal and external audit requests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Competency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Proficient in MO Buys, MOVERS, CIMOR and other programs utilized by DMH for billing and financial transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks with minimal to no error.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from different backgrounds, educational levels and experiences.
