Job summary

Action Behavior Centers - ABA Therapy for Autism is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist I to join our Austin-based team. The role supports the Accounts Receivable Manager and Director, focusing on payer issues, denials, and receivables within the revenue cycle management function.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in medical revenue cycle management, experience with third-party billing, and familiarity with CentralReach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in medical revenue cycle management.
• Background in third party billing/revenue cycle management.
• Experience working in CentralReach practice management system preferred.
• Experience working in Applied Behavioral Analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact insurance carriers daily to follow up on past due amounts on outstanding medical claims.
• Investigate and resolve claims that have been submitted to insurance for payment; create follow-up notes.
• Identify denials and determine when to file reconsiderations/appeals.
• Collaborate with RCM team to resolve claims processing issues and ensure timely reimbursement.
• Provide high quality customer service to clients regarding coverage and benefits.
• Protect confidentiality of PHI and comply with policies.
