Job summary

Columbia Distributing is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support billing, payment application, and account reconciliation. Responsibilities include invoicing for depletions and incentives, accurate posting of payments, and maintaining SOPs for billing processes.

The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, plus a minimum of two years in accounts receivable. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; wage details are customized by location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED acceptable.
• Minimum two years accounts receivable experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and generate supplier billing invoices for depletions, promotional items, samples, expense billbacks, and sales incentives.
• Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and backed by required backup documentation.
• Post and apply electronic payments to customer accounts in the AR system.
• Review monthly billing reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with internal departments as needed.
• Maintain electronic filing for invoices, adjustments, and supplier correspondence.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for key billing and AR responsibilities.
• Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues at all levels.
• Develop positive relationships with coworkers and managers.
• Complete all other tasks and projects as assigned.
