Job summary

Foundation Finance Company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure timely posting and reconciliation of payments. The role starts onsite for training, with a hybrid schedule after training, and offers comprehensive benefits.

You will handle daily payments, bank deposits, reconciliations, and adjustments, while researching discrepancies and supporting the accounting team in month-end activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field OR combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and procedures as applicable to the company.
• Ability to calculate figures in all units of measure; including discounts, interest, commissions, decimals, proportions and percentages.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and any applicable accounting software or tools.

Responsibilities

• Verify, post and process customer payments and transactions by recording checks and credit card transactions.
• Prepare check payments for bank remote deposit processing; accurately totaling and recording deposit amounts.
• Facilitate returned payments by adjusting customer accounts and appropriately notating transaction details.
• Process end of day dealer funding & ACH NACHA bank files.
• Reconcile daily bank activity against the general ledger; investigate and remedy variances.
• Perform account and company adjustments timely, comprehensively, and accurately.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and past due amounts.
• Investigate, analyze, and propose solutions for customer complaints and queries.
• Handle customer overpayment refunds accordingly.
• Complete dealer funding adjustments.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Accounts Receivable Specialist Duties:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist ensures timely and accurate receipt, posting, and reconciliation of customer payments in accordance with established procedures. This role provides clerical support, data maintenance, and facilitates day-to-day transactions of the accounting team.

This position requires candidate to be onsite for the training period, with the ability to work a hybrid schedule after training is completed.

Pay Range

USD $21.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Verify, post and process customer payments and transactions by recording checks and credit card transactions.


• Prepare check payments for bank remote deposit processing; accurately totaling and recording deposit amounts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field.


• Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field OR combination of education and experience.


• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business periodicals, professional and technical journals, financial reports, policies and procedures, and legal documents as applicable to the company.


• Ability to calculate figures in all units of measure as applicable to the role; including discounts, interest, commissions, common fractions, decimals, proportions and percentages.


• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and any applicable role specific development or design software.
