Ampacity is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support customer billing, collections, credit reviews, and onboarding. You will collaborate with Sales, Accounting, and Fulfillment to ensure accurate billing and resolve customer issues. Join a growing team focused on sustainable energy and professional development.

Location: HQ in Monterey, CA. Hybrid or remote options with Pacific Time Zone preferred. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager. Pay range: $27-$32 per hour.

Competenze

• 2–4 years of credit, collections, or AR experience.
• Clear, professional communication with customers and internal teams.
• Strong organization and deadline management.
• Employ problem-solving skills and analysis, report problems as necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• NetSuite and Levelset experience is a plus.

• Prepare and review customer invoices in accordance with signed contracts.
• Research and track pending orders and coordinate with the fulfillment team on status and next steps.
• Resolve sales tax exemption issues in collaboration with Sales and Accounting.
• Assist with delinquent account collections.
• Process back-end functions for credit card transactions.
• Provide onboarding information for new customers as required.
• Assist with credit evaluation and onboarding new customers, and evaluation of existing customers.
• Conduct background checks on new customers including business credit reports, trade references and public records.
• Assist with credit related reporting and communicate findings to management.

• Support additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed.

Position Summary

Ampacity is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support customer billing, collections, credit reviews, and account onboarding. This role partners with Sales, Accounting, and Fulfillment to maintain accurate billing and help resolve customer account issues. Location: Our HQ office is in Monterey CA. This job is hybrid or remote (with Pacific Time Zone preferred).

Reporting to: Accounts Receivable Manager.

Pay Range: $27-$32/hourly

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review customer invoices in accordance with signed contracts, including AIA billing documents, progress billings, retainage, and lien waivers. Ensure billings accurately reflect contract terms and approved change orders.
• Research and track pending orders and coordinate with the fulfillment team on status and next steps.
• Partner with Sales and Accounting to resolve sales tax exemption issues.
• Assist with delinquent account collections.
• Process back-end functions for credit card transactions.
• Provide onboarding information for new customers as required.
• Assist with credit evaluation and onboarding new customers, and evaluation of existing customers.
• Conduct background checks on new customers including business credit reports, trade references and public records. Analyze customer history, current data and industry risk and make recommendations for credit.
• Assist with the credit related reporting and communicate the findings to management.
• Maintain records and workflows in Levelset lien software, including sending preliminary notices, tracking deadlines, filing notices of intent to lien, and processing lien releases and waivers.
• Support additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as needed.

What You'll Bring

• 2–4 years of experience in credit, collections, and/or accounts receivable, along with general accounting experience.
• Clear, professional communication with customers and internal teams.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage deadlines and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Employ problem-solving skills and analysis, and report problems to the appropriate person, as necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• NetSuite and Levelset experience is a plus.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $27.00/Hr. - USD $32.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
