Job summary

Cintas is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative in Omaha to manage all accounts receivable functions, monitor assigned accounts for outstanding payments, and negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role includes heavy phone activity with customers, investigating discrepancies, updating account status, and alerting supervisors when payments are at risk.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of collections experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic internet usage.
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner and meet collections targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounts receivable functions for assigned accounts.
• Heavy phone activity to contact debtors and collect payments; negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies; update account status regularly.
• Alert supervisors of customers unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities include all accounts receivable related functions, including keeping track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts; planning a course of action to recover outstanding payments; heavy phone activity with customers; locating and contacting debtors regarding payment status; negotiating payoff deadlines or payment plans; handling questions or complaints; investigating and resolving discrepancies; establishing good relationships with customers; updating account status and database regularly; alerting supervisors of customers unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts; complying with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2+ years' collections experience
• Ability to use confidential information in a professional manner to achieve collections targets/goals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and intranet/internet

Preferred

• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Experience with SAP and AS400
