Job summary

Checkr is seeking an Accounts Receivable Lead to own end-to-end AR close, reconciliations, and control activities across the global AR operation. You will manage offshore teams, drive automation, and partner with Billing, Revenue Accounting, and Data Engineering to ensure accurate subledger alignment and SOX readiness.

The role emphasizes process improvement, KPI reporting, and strong cross-functional collaboration to support Checkr's monetization models and audits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience with ownership of receivables, billing, or order-to-cash.
• 2–3 years in a lead or manager capacity.
• Offshore/BPO accounting team experience.
• Strong GAAP, SOX, and audit readiness knowledge.
• Hands-on with Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, Alteryx, Snowflake.
• Experience in automation or process transformation in AR/finance.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly AR close end-to-end: subledger-to-GL tie-out, cash application, unapplied cash, aging roll-forward, and flux commentary.
• Own the allowance for credit losses: maintain reserve methodology and document judgments.
• Prepare and review AR reconciliations and journal entries with timely support.
• Reconcile Stripe/PSP activity to GL: gross settlement, fees, refunds, chargebacks.
• Publish AR KPIs and define sources for metrics (DSO, aging, unapplied cash).
• Lead AR team and collaborate with Billing, Revenue, Data Eng, Sales Ops, Legal, Product.
