Job summary

Six Degrees Search is recruiting for an Accounts Receivable & Customer Account Specialist to join its accounting and credit operations team in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

This role supports commercial customer accounts, maintains accurate billing and credit documentation, researches payment issues, and collaborates with internal teams to resolve accounts receivable matters.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, credit support, or related accounting functions.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to research discrepancies and communicate effectively with customers and internal departments.
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Familiarity with lien waivers, customer deposits, or tax exemption certificates is a plus.
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, construction, or other commercial business environments is helpful.
