Job summary

Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking an Account Representative to oversee the WIP and A/R portfolios for assigned attorneys. You will recover outstanding balances through respectful negotiations that protect client relationships and ensure prompt payments, while applying strong analytics to reconcile accounts and maintain audit-ready documentation.

The role requires excellent communication, disciplined processes, and the ability to balance firm collections practices with thoughtful relationship

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of commercial collection or accounting experience.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership in creating efficiencies and process improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to negotiate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain working relationships with attorneys, business professionals, and clients to manage WIP and A/R.
• Contact clients via phone and email to collect debts and arrange payment plans.
• Meet monthly with attorneys to discuss outreach and outcomes for open A/R balances.
• Maintain 3E Elite Collection notes with client correspondence and contact information.
• Conduct detailed account analysis to identify delinquency causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Resolve billing disputes and ebill issues, reconcile payments, and respond to client inquiries.
• Assist cash applications team and with unapplied cash issues.
• Support other Accounts Receivable professionals as needed.
