Job summary

Venturi Supply, a national distributor network for pipe, valves, fittings, tanks, and industrial supplies, seeks an Accounts Receivable/Cash Specialist. You will process daily cash receipts, post payments, and maintain accurate AR records across multiple sites.

You will support inter-company transactions, bank fee write-offs, and assist the A/R Manager with collections and reconciliations. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in cash applications within a distribution setting, proficiency in MS Office

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; Associate's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of multi-site cash applications experience in the same or similar industry.
• Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail oriented; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process daily cash receipts and postings to customer accounts, including credit card payments and credits/debits.
• Post inter-company transfers and non-customer payments; handle bank fee charge-offs.
• Maintain records for auditing; balance daily batches and import sales data.
• Support A/R Manager on issues related to cash receipts, applications, and collections.
• Coordinate closely with collections and deductions processes.

Role Overview

The Accounts Receivable/Cash Specialist provides support to the accounts receivable department and performs cash applications functions.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of cash receipts and postings to customer accounts, including charging payments made by credit card, other adjustments to customer accounts for credits/debits and account write-offs
• Ensure inter-company transfers are posted and handed off properly and non-customer payments posted properly
• Perform bank fee charge-offs
• Identify daily unapplied amounts, post to customer accounts, call on back-up and provide A.R
• Maintenance of records for auditing purposes (filing remittances, bank statements, approved write offs )
• Receiving and recording of US trade, export and intercompany payments received from lockbox, EFTs, wire transfers, credit cards
• Support center management and the A/R Manager with respect to any relevant issues relating to cash receipts, applications, collections, bankruptcies
• Encodes checks and balances checks received to cash receipts and encoding machine totals
• Collections Specialist and Deductions Specialist interaction
• Includes daily importation and balancing of sales batches

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma Associate's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of multi-site cash applications experience in the same or similar industry.
• Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems
• Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
• Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
