Job Description:

Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Business Partner in the UK and Ireland. This role plays a key role in managing incoming payments, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring healthy cash flow for the business. Core responsibilities include supporting invoices, collecting payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.

As part of this role, you'll liaise with teams within the Business Units to chase debt and ensure customer payments are handled efficiently, and support the sales teams in timely invoicing of customers.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Support prompt and accurate allocation of invoice payments to relevant departments and functions.
  • Collect overdue payments, resolve payment issues, perform credit management activities, and keep credit information up to date.
  • Ensure timely collection of invoices, coordinate with internal teams and clients, manage client relationships, support onboarding of new clients, including credit risk assessments and financial due diligence.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports and analysis on debtors.
  • Oversee cash collection in coordination with business and integration teams.
  • Drive process standardization and automation with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure tasks comply with the service catalog or as agreed.
  • Identify inefficiencies in receivables processes and collaborate to implement automation and standardization initiatives.
  • Interpret aging reports, DSO, and cash flow forecasts; resolve discrepancies or inefficiencies.

Background:

  • Qualified or part-qualified in ACCA or similar field.
  • Deep understanding of accounts receivable, invoicing, credit control, and collections processes.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and MS Office.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with UK financial regulations and compliance standards.
