Job summary

CP Group, a vertically integrated commercial real estate and management firm, seeks a Corporate Accountant to manage the full corporate accounting cycle. This position reports to the Corporate Reporting Manager and regularly interacts with the Chief Financial Officer, supporting timely and accurate books and special projects.

• Reliability – willingness to take on projects outside core hours when needed.

• Maintain real-time cash balance for forecasting and communicate with the Executive team.
• Bill fees to properties and coordinate with Property Management to stay current.
• Communicate regularly with Accounting, Property Management, and the Corporate team; assist with ad-hoc projects.

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate accounting for the CP Group corporate books. This position reports to the Corporate Reporting Manager but will have regular exposure to the Chief Financial Officer. In addition, this person will assist in additional projects as needed, gaining a valuable understanding of the accounting and operations of the Company.

Take Ownership Of The Full Corporate Accounting Cycle

• Make bank deposits as needed.
• Prepare detailed workpapers, including financial statement support schedules.
• Assist with variance analysis as needed.
• Review invoice coding and support for corporate expenditures.
• Maintain real time cash balance to advise Executive team on cash forecasting.
• Bill fees to properties and track fee collections, working directly with Property Management to stay current.
• Communicate regularly with Accounting, Property Management, and Corporate team members.
• Other ad-hoc projects as needed.

• A minimum of 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping exposure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Reliability – Must demonstrate initiative and ability to take on projects that benefit the accounting department and/or Company, working outside the core business hours when needed.
