Requirements

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our Accounts Payable team. This role is responsible for ensuring invoices are processed accurately and timely, vendor relationships are managed effectively, and AP processes continue to evolve as our business grows.

You’ll be both a hands-on leader and systems problem-solver - someone who can manage the day-to-day AP operation while identifying opportunities to improve workflows, leverage technology to support business growth and optimize operations.

Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero: leadership, management, and accountability.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team while establishing clear expectations, priorities, and accountability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payment requests, and related transactions.
  • Continuously evaluate AP workflows and implement improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, visibility, and scalability.
  • Partner with Accounting, Procurement, Operations, IT, and other internal teams to resolve issues and improve financial processes.
  • Run and support the monthly A/P close to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve invoice, payment, and account issues quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate AP records, monitor key metrics, and ensure appropriate processes and controls are followed.
  • Develop team members and serve as a go-to resource for AP processes.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and is part of a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business. This is a highly visible role that interacts with all levels and functions within the organization and will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how we operate.

Your Background
  • A track record of strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor, develop, and motivate team members while effectively delegating responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience, with supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience working with corporate credit card platforms and employee expense reimbursement and a strong interest in improving and optimizing system processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the full AP cycle, including invoice workflows, vendor management, and month-end close.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort leveraging AI and automation tools to improve AP processes.
  • The ability to balance people leadership, daily execution, and systems/process improvement.
  • A forward thinker and problem solver who looks for better ways to get things done.
  • A consummate team player who works well across departments and is willing to jump in wherever needed.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • A strong communicator who can translate systems and process issues into practical solutions.
  • Someone who takes ownership and follows through without needing to be constantly reminded.

You should be motivated by empowering yourself to learn how to do something.

If you need a ton of handholding or a micro-manager boss, this is not the place for you.

Working in a lean, results-oriented environment, where you'll be expected to do more, take on more, and achieve more every year.

Improving how things work. You'll have the opportunity to influence processes, systems, and workflows rather than simply maintain the status quo.

Having fun in an environment high on transparency, open to innovative new approaches, with a supportive family feel.

Growing with the business. As we grow, your responsibilities and opportunities will grow with us.
