Join to apply for the Accounts Payable Specialist I role at Piedmont Airlines.

At Piedmont Airlines, our strength lies in delivering industry-leading service to our customers and airline partners. We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist I. The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately process Accounts Payable transactions. The position reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Essential Duties
  • Process transactions, including invoices, ensuring accuracy
  • Reconcile vendor statements, inventory, etc.
  • Research and correct discrepancies
  • Explain variances
  • Report on findings
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including vendors, stations, and management
  • Maintain files and documentation
  • Verify payments
  • Process incoming communications
Job Qualifications and Competencies
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Accounting knowledge
  • Data entry experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, or related field, or relevant work experience
Work Environment
  • Standard office environment with use of telephones, computers, and other equipment
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Employment is contingent upon a clear driving record, a 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and a drug screen. Proof of high school or GED completion is required. Minimum age: 18 years.

Starting Rate: $17.00/hour
