Accounts Payable Specialist

Garney Construction is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in North Kansas City, MO. As part of the payment team, you will process invoices and transactions with accuracy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and knowledgeable about accounts payable procedures in the construction industry.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

1. Record and process payments in ERP
2. Create and send payment files to the bank
3. Process weekly ACH payments to employees
4. Handle wire transfers and check payments as needed
5. Transfer funds to entities
6. Deposit incoming checks via mobile deposit
7. Void transactions and reconcile bank discrepancies
8. Data entry: Enter invoices, subcontracts, and expense reports in ERP; code and track job costs; report miscellaneous costs as requested
9. Support month- and year-end closings
10. Collaborate with teams to resolve AP issues promptly
