IES Residential is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Cincinnati to manage expense verifications, reconcile accounts, and facilitate timely vendor payments. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.
Receive and verify expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records. Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed. Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions. Record entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash. Calculate and reports sales tax based on paid invoices. Perform additional duties as assigned.
