Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure timely billings, manage vendor relations, obtain approvals, and handle data entry and three-way matches.

You will work in-office at the corporate location, process expense reports, assist in month-end closings, and contribute to special projects. The role requires 2–3 years AP experience, solid Excel skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years A/P experience required.
• Knowledge of accounting and basic office equipment applications.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong written communication.
• Great Plains experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all billings are done accurately and on a timely basis.
• Assist vendors by receiving calls and handling vendor relations.
• Obtain approvals.
• Perform accounts payable information preparation and data entry.
• Process expense reports, perform three-way match of PO’s, receiving’s and invoices.
• Code invoices and self-assess tax as appropriate.
• Assist in month-end closing processes including preparation and data entry of journal vouchers and account reconciliations.

What It Takes

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Two to three years A/P experience.
• Ability to handle high volume and multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting and basic office equipment applications.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Great Plains experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Position works in-office at the corporate location
• Ability to sit, stand or kneel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to view video display terminal images for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate computer keyboard and telephone.
• Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Ability to reach, bend, and stoop as necessary
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to focus and concentrate on tasks for extended periods
• Ability to navigate the office environment safely, including stairs and elevators (if applicable)
