Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to maintain accurate, timely, and well-documented financial transactions. You will be the point of contact for vendors and customers on payable questions, handling expense and freight via Coupa, three-way matching, and reconciling AP aging.

• 3-5 years of finance or accounting experience preferred
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review purchase orders, inventory received, and supplier invoices
• Requires communication with suppliers and internal departments regarding discrepancies
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Investigate unmatched receivers
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Provide ad-hoc reporting as necessary
• Answer supplier inquiries
• Assist corporate staff members as necessary
• Assist in monthly closing
• Perform filing and copying

Job description

Purpose:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is resposible for keeping day-to-day financial transactions accurate, timely, and well documented. This role serves as a point of contact for vendors and customers on payable related questions.

Expense and Freight – Coupa, consolidated invoices upload, reconciliation of AP aging, and vendor chargebacks analysis.

Trade – Receiving and analyzing three-way matching invoices, general ledger account coding, research, supplier liaison, and reconciliation of AP aging.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
• 3 - 5 years of finance or accounting experience preferred
• Solid knowledge of Accounting principles
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the company
• Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized to provide accurate processing
