Job summary

CarGuys Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist – AP / AR Clerk – Accounting Assistant to support automotive dealerships nationwide. The role covers AP invoice processing, AR postings, and general accounting duties within structured departments across the U.S.

and Canada. Ideal candidates will have AP/AR experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting.
• Automotive dealership experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic accounting knowledge and reconciliation experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments.
• Manage accounts receivable, including posting payments and collections.
• Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE / RECEIVABLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE / RECEIVABLE SKILLS

Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, payment posting, reconciliation, financial reporting, and recordkeeping. Experience with data entry, vendor management, collections, and general accounting support. Familiarity with dealership accounting, bookkeeping, general ledger functions, and accounting software systems is highly valued.

Experience as an accounts payable clerk, accounts receivable clerk, accounting assistant, billing clerk, bookkeeper, or office administrator in a dealership, office, or accounting environment is preferred.
