Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our shared services team. This role reports to the Regional Controller and handles high-volume AP processing for the region.

Responsibilities include invoice entry and coding, reconciliations, tax calculations, and posting to the general ledger. The position emphasizes accuracy, vendor service, and timely payments within a fast-paced office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent work experience in accounts payable.
• 2+ years accounts payable experience, with preference for industrial sector experience.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Enter, code, and process invoices according to payment guidelines or route for approval.
• Reconcile AP batches for coding and approval.
• Calculate and report sales tax on paid invoices.
• Post transactions to the general ledger.
• Process weekly check runs and confirm payments.
• Provide excellent vendor service and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly AP reports and audit documentation.
• Verify vendor statements and related transactions; support the finance team.

Position Summary

Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our shared services team. This position will report into the Regional Controller and will be responsible for verifying and processing high volume Accounts Payable transactions for the region.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter, code, and process invoices meeting Acuren's guidelines for payment or route invoices for approval (where required)
• Reconcile Accounts Payable batches for coding and approval
• Calculates and reports sales tax on paid invoices
• Posts transactions to general ledger
• Process weekly payment (check run) and confirm payment has been received
• Provide excellent customer service while responding to vendor inquires; Works to resolve invoice discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
• Prepares monthly reporting ensuring all AP records are accurate. Audits all documentation received with appropriate PO coding and approvals
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Supports financial team with additional duties as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting and/or equivalent work experience in accounts payable position(s)
• 2+ years Accounts Payable experience. Preference will be given to candidates with Industrial sector experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and meet strict deadlines
• Identifies potential issues and proactively provides solutions
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skill
• Exceptional organization skills and demonstrates attention to detail
• Team player with the ability to work well independently
