Job Description
Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a well known reputable real estate investment firm that is looking to add an entry level accounts payable clerk to their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a new college graduate or a junior A/P clerk. This company is growing fast and offers great work life balance. They also offer above market benefits including profit sharing. They also offer a traditional 40 hour work week or a 9/80 schedule.

SUMMARY

The Associate, Accounts Payable will report directly to the Manager, Corporate Accounting. This role is responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices, managing vendor communications, and supporting month-end closing procedures. The individual will also play a key role in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Accounts Payable
  • Review, and process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring that invoices are coded appropriately, and any discrepancies and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Research prior balances if invoices were received and if payments were made. If not, reach out to the vendor to ensure that the invoice submission process is followed.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors in accordance with the Company’s internal controls, Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries, discrepancies, and payment status. Research and respond to all vendor and internal inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies and verify expense receipts.
  • Setup new vendors and maintain vendor files, including adding default accounts, expense types
  • Request W-9 and certificate of insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • A minimum of one (1) year of corporate accounting experience, including accounts payable
  • Yardi GL experience, a plus
