Chico State Enterprises provides specialized services to support Chico State’s research and education programs. We seek an Accounting Technician to support the P-Card program, perform compliance tasks, and assist with accounts payable and purchasing activities.

COMPENSATION: $21.57 - $26.50 per hour
LOCATION: Chico State Enterprises - 25 Main Street, Suite 103, Chico, CA. This is a hybrid work environment that is eligible for partial telecommuting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Chico State Enterprises is seeking a candidate with a passion for accounting and impressive people skills. The accounting technician will have the opportunity to support some of Chico State’s most exciting, research, educational, and philanthropic initiatives. The accounting technician will be instrumental in facilitating accounting functions and business services for research, service, and entrepreneurial programs led by Chico State faculty and project directors and managed through CSE.
Under the general supervision of the procurement services manager, the accounting technician performs technical accounting, administrative, and compliance-related duties supporting the organization’s procurement card (P-Card) program and related purchasing and accounts payable functions.
The position serves as a primary resource for cardholders, approving officials, project directors, and administrative staff. The accounting technician reviews financial transactions and supporting documentation to help ensure compliance with CSE policies, applicable California State University requirements, federal and state regulations, sponsored-project requirements, and established internal controls.

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. Chico State Enterprises will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current Chico State Enterprises employee who was conditionally offered the position.
