Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized experience: knowledge of finance regulations, practices, methods, procedures and precedents.
• Knowledge of accounting terminology and standard codes, manuals, rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Examines, verifies, and maintains financial accounts and data.
• Classifies accounting transactions and verifies accuracy before processing obligations and other transactions in the FCAP system.
• Assists and trains fund control point clerks and officials.
• Prepares journal vouchers for income and general ledger entries.
• Verifies and processes Imprest Fund Reimbursements and Direct Disbursements.
• Reconciles Undelivered Orders, Advances, Accounts Payable and related fund control changes.
• Ensures transactions are properly processed and totals match documents.
• Analyzes reports to ensure balance and proper format and identifies errors.
• Maintains follow-up messages in Accounting Shared Folder for 889B and ARUDO; periodic follow-ups every 30 days for aged items.
• Prepares recurring payments in FMS and maintains tickler file for timely payments.
• Researches inquiries from employees, vendors, and logistics personnel; processes certified documents for obligation and payment.
• Maintains accuracy of data entered (vendor codes, amounts, invoice references) to comply with Prompt Payment Act.
