Qualifications

• One year of experience at the Contra Costa County Account Clerk Advanced level.
• Substitution options: 12 semester or 18 quarter units in accounting for one year of experience; additional education in business administration, finance, accounting, auditing, or related field may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling and balancing fund accounts.
• Reviewing documents authorizing expenditures for compliance purposes.
• Completing more complex central payroll work that can involve extensions, deductions, adjustments, corrections, and special warrants.
• Interpreting and applying various federal, state, and County rules and regulations.
