The County of Augusta is accepting applications for the position of Accounting Technician in the Finance Department. This position will be responsible for overseeing the Augusta County Emergency Medical Services Revenue Recovery program. Revenue Recovery is a process in which the County bills for emergency ambulance transport services for both Career and Volunteer Rescue Agencies. Extensive skills in computer applications, Excel spreadsheets, and databases are required. This position will also assist the County Finance Department with various accounting tasks as assigned.
Candidates will have any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college/four year institution with major course work in accounting or related field and considerable experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping. Knowledge of medical billing and/or the Emergency Medical Service field a plus but not required.
This position has a starting salary of $43,195.
