King County Housing Authority (KCHA) is seeking an Accounting Technician to support the Finance Department in Tukwila, WA. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years of bookkeeping experience or equivalent, and strong proficiency in MS Office and accounting systems.

This role performs intermediate technical work maintaining and processing financial transactions, entering, verifying and checking financial records, reconciling accounts, maintaining files and records, preparing general financial reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Accounting Manager.

The starting salary range for this position is $32.98 - $37.92 per hour dependent on qualifications and professional experience. The complete salary range for this position is $32.98- $42.87 hourly. Performance based merit increase opportunities and COLAs are reviewed on an annual basis. After initial onboarding, this role may have the opportunity to work remotely in accordance with the KCHA's flexible work arrangements; however, remote work conditions will be reviewed on a regular basis based on business and program need. Employees must reside in Washington State and having the ability to report to the Central Office in Tukwila will be required. Some local travel may be required to support KCHA business needs.
