Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching is seeking an Accounting Team Lead in Urbandale, IA for a 3-month contract with strong potential to convert to full-time. You will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls while guiding a small team and collaborating with management.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of leadership experience, including 1 year in accounting leadership, and demonstrates advanced Excel capabilities to drive efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, including at least 1 year in accounting leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and ability to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting processes and financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure integrity of all financial reporting and timely close processes.
• Support internal controls improvements, including SOX compliance and audits.
• Implement process improvements and leverage new technologies to drive efficiency across the team.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to the accounting staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
