Job Description

Summary:

The Accounting Support Specialist will assist with daily accounting operations, support financial processes, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions. This role is vital in maintaining the financial health of our dealership by supporting the accounting team with various administrative and clerical tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment posting, and collections.
2. Prepare and process daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements.
3. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
4. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
5. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
6. Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve discrepancies.
7. Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including data entry, filing, and responding to inquiries.
8. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in an accounting support role (AP/AR/Payroll).
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Motivated self-starter with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments with minimal supervision.
6. High School Diploma or equivalent.
7. All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
8. All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience with CDK.
2. Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.

Compensation (Hourly):

$18.00 - 20.00 / hour

Schedule:

1. FULL TIME
2. Monday through Friday
3. 8am - 5pm
4. 401k plan with company match
